Xylitol is a naturally derived prebiotic ingredient sourced from sustainably harvested birch and beech wood. In this formula we use GENENCARE® XL — a clinically studied form of Xylitol that works by nourishing the beneficial bacteria that live on your skin, helping to maintain a healthy, balanced microbiome. It also supports skin barrier integrity by improving the lipid layer composition, and helps the skin retain moisture by acting as a humectant. Ectoin® natural is a 100% natural amino acid derivative, originally discovered as the survival molecule of microorganisms living in extreme environments. It works by forming a protective hydration shell around skin cells, stabilising membranes, reducing inflammation, and supporting the skin's own repair mechanisms.
